Is a timing cover oil leak on a GX460 a big deal?

The short version

A seep isn't urgent
A damp, oily film around the timing cover is a seep. I'd watch it, not fix it.
When it's real
Oil spots in the driveway. At that point it's a true leak, and it needs to be fixed.
The fix is a big job
The front bumper, radiator and engine accessories come off, though the engine stays in. Most of the bill is labor.
Pair it with the valley plate
If the valley plate is leaking too, fix both at once. A shop is already most of the way in.
Buying one
If the service history shows a timing cover leak that was found and deferred, use it to negotiate, or walk.
